We study whether taking into account global envi- ronmental quality may better local environmental quality. To this aim we study a N-player game where both local and global amenity value of the en- vironmental quality are considered.We show that local environmental quality may not necessarily be better by this consideration.In the second part of the talk\, we analyse the case in which there is an infinite number of locations and agents are still competitive. This is called a Mean Field Game problem. We explain what is the Mean Field Game associated. Avant que l’économie ne submerge la vie des sociétés\, l’interrogation n’avait pas grand sens. Seuls importaient pour les philosophes de l’Antiquité le beau\, le bien\, le juste ou le mérite. Ils étaient en quête de ces valeurs éthiques. Le capitalisme\, au contraire\, est en quête de valeur sous forme d’argent\, pour nourrir une accumulation sans fin. \nJean-Marie Harribey mène une enquête philosophique\, anthropologique et économique pour élucider quelques mystères au cœur des crises du monde actuel. However\, it is unclear which strategies are most likely to motivate people to change their climate beliefs and behaviors. Here\, we tested 11 expert-crowdsourced interventions on four climate mitigation outcomes: beliefs\, policy support\, information sharing intention\, and an effortful tree-planting behavioral task. Across 59\,440 participants from 63 countries\, the interventions’ effectiveness was small\, largely limited to nonclimate skeptics\, and differed across outcomes: Beliefs were strengthened mostly by decreasing psychological distance (by 2.3%)\, policy support by writing a letter to a future-generation member (2.6%)\, information sharing by negative emotion induction (12.1%)\, and no intervention increased the more effortful behavior-several interventions even reduced tree planting. Last\, the effects of each intervention differed depending on people’s initial climate beliefs. These findings suggest that the impact of behavioral climate interventions varies across audiences and target behaviors \n  \nThe role of health co-benefits in climate policy support\n[ongoing] \nThis paper investigates whether communicating that carbon pricing not only addresses long-term climate risks but also delivers immediate local public health benefits by reducing toxic air pollutants affects public support for climate policy. In a controlled experimental setting\, we explore how emphasizing the dual benefits of decarbonization policies—both reducing greenhouse gas emissions and curbing harmful pollutants like PM and NOx\, which are major contributors to global morbidity and mortality—affects participants’ willingness to support climate policies. \n\n\n\n  \n  \n– Voir plus d’événements –\n  \n  \n  \n  \n
