8th Bordeaux Conference in Development Economics

We would like to invite you to submit a paper to the 8th Bordeaux Conference in Development Economics.
The BCDE conference is a two-day event with a broad focus on development economics.
We invite submissions from interested researchers on any topic within the area of development economics.
Both empirical and theoretical contributions are encouraged.

Please submit your full paper or an extended abstract with the main results in PDF form by March 10, 2020

Authors chosen to present papers will be notified by mid-March.
A preliminary program will be announced by mid-April.

**Conditional on their paper’s acceptance, several grants could be awarded (upon request) to participants coming from developing countries’ universities or institutions in order to partially cover their expenses (notably conference fees and accommodation in Bordeaux) . Details about the application procedure will be provided in the acceptance letter.

The Pole is located in the very town center, and you can easily get there by public transport. See the TBC network website.
From the train station : take tramway line C (direction Les Aubiers) then change at Porte de Bourgogne. Take line A (direction Mérignac centre) and stop at Hôtel de Ville.
From the airport : At Aéroport Terminus bus stop, take the bus Liane 1 direction Gare Saint Jean. Stop at Palais de justice. Walk 7 mn (rue des frères Bonies) to the Place Pey Berland.
Bus Liane 1provides also connecting services with Tram Line A at “Mérignac Centre”.

Since july 2017, traveling from Paris to Bordeaux takes only 2h04 by TGV . Bordeaux train station is located in the city, at 20 minutes tramway journey / 30 minutes walk to the conference venue (Place Pey Berland).
